In order to pry Dane Dunning away from the Texas Rangers, the Atlanta Braves agreed to part ways with relief pitcher José Ruiz, plus cash considerations.

The Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers made a trade this evening. The Braves are acquiring right-handed pitcher Dane Dunning from the Rangers in exchange for right-handed pitcher Jose Ruiz.
