President-elect Donald Trump is pushing for recess appointments to place members of his administration into positions without the advice and consent of the Senate. It is a tactic that presidents do not often use for their whole administrations,

“Republican control of the Senate thus gives Trump the chance to use recess appointments in radically new way — basically, standing up a new government in one fell swoop, but only if the Senate is willing to give him carte blanche in filling appointments as he wishes for two years,” Cameron said.

Even though President-elect Donald Trump won’t be sworn into office for a couple of more months, he's already moving full steam ahead in shaping his new adminis
