Houston is seeing less afternoon downpours today, but the air remains very warm and humid. Look for a similar day Thursday & expect mostly sunny skies and higher temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.
HOUSTON — Expect sun and clouds in the morning, giving way to a chance of a storm in the afternoon. Part of the area will remain dry, while others see brief downpours and storms through the evening. High temperatures should still make it into the mid-90s.

An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Thursday at 1:10 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 2:15 p.m. for Geneva and Houston counties.

Houston weather: Hot, steamy Thursday in the 90sMuch like yesterday, we'll be hot today in the 90s with only a slight chance of rain. It's muggy this morning, then will turn partly cloudy. Prepare for increase in rain chances for tomorrow.
We’ll need to be ready for Houston to become seasonably hotter by midweek, with highs in the middle to upper 90s, the National Weather Service said.
Regardless of how the system develops, the National Weather Service said in a Wednesday morning update that "a surge of tropical moisture could enhance the risk of showers and thunderstorms" in Southeast Texas by the end of the week.
