Aaron Sanchez was struggling to put up competitive numbers in Triple-A the last time he pitched in affiliated baseball, but the 33-year-old former All-Star isn't hanging up his cleats just yet.

A former first round pick (34th overall) by the Blue Jays in the 2010 MLB Draft, Sanchez made his big league debut with Toronto in 2014 at the age of 21. Pitching primarily out of the bullpen, he went 2-2 with a 1.09 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 33 innings during his rookie season.

The Toronto Blue Jays sit in the top spot in the American League East, but need to beef up their infield's offense before it's too late.
