The partnership will combine Uber's ride-sharing platform with Lucid's new electric SUV, the Gravity, and Nuro's autonomous driving technology. It'll be launching first in an unnamed "major US city," but is expected to roll out globally to more than 20,000 Lucid vehicles over the next six years.

"We're thrilled to partner with Nuro and Lucid on this new robotaxi program, purpose-built just for the Uber platform, to safely bring the magic of autonomous driving to more people across the world," Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in a statement.

Uber announced today that it would collaborate with Lucid and Nuro to deploy over 20,000 robotaxis over the next six years, beginning in 2026.
